World Trade Center

On September 11, 2001, over 5000 people were killed when terrorists destroyed the twin towers of the World Trade Center, along with many surrounding buildings and the entire WTC complex. I was heading to 2WT when the planes struck, and witnessed the unfolding tragedy from just a few minutes after 9am on that Tuesday morning. Running out of Penn Station just moments after the planes struck, I began walking toward the towers down 5^th Ave. I saw unspeakable horror, worse than any movie or imagination. Two weeks later, I returned to what is now commonly referred to as Ground Zero …with my camera.
